Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, who?

I Just Found the Only Easter Candy That’s Better Than Reese’s Eggs

When people talk about the best Easter candy, chocolate is at the top of the list. Parents fill Easter baskets with chocolate bunnies, chocolate eggs, M&M’s, and, of course, Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. In a survey of the most popular Easter candy across the United States, only three are sans chocolate.
Honestly, I understand the popularity of chocolate. It’s an easy buy for a kid’s Easter basket and a treat for the grown-ups. But I’m going to tell you something you may find surprising: The chocolate is not that good.
I’m a hard candy kinda gal, and I’d sooner drown in a pool of lemon drops than recognize Reese’s Eggs as my quintessential Easter treat. So, what is the best Easter candy, you ask?
It’s SweeTarts Chicks, Ducks & Bunnies.
Why are SweeTarts the best Easter candy?
I know this probably isn’t what you expected as someone’s top-rated Easter candy. But no candy I’ve eaten over the years can beat the SweeTarts. The tarts are simple, colorful and unfairly overlooked.
Did you know SweeTarts have been around since 1962? This old-school candy is a tabletized version of Pixy Stix. The colors and flavors have changed over the years, but the cuteness has been consistent. The Chicks, Ducks & Bunnies fit the Easter motif better than Reese’s Eggs, in my humble opinion. Even on an unseasonably warm Easter Sunday, SweeTarts won’t melt.
No kid will ever be disappointed opening a plastic egg to find this colorful candy inside. Neither would I—though to be fair, I buy bags of SweeTarts Chicks, Ducks & Bunnies for myself. I can’t resist the blue punch bunnies, lemon ducks and cherry chicks.
Oh, and did I mention they’re only $4.49 a bag at Walgreens? You’re welcome!
