There’s nothing like the savory and crunchy taste of cheesy garlic bread, except perhaps for a fresh bag of salty and crispy potato chips. It sounds like a food mashup of our fantasies to even consider having both in the same bite, but thanks to the return of Lay’s Cheesy Garlic Bread Chips, that fantasy is about to once again be reality.
Lay’s Cheesy Garlic Bread Chips Are Finally Back
Lay’s has just brought back a potato chip variety that is exciting for any fan of extra cheesy and savory carbs. And who doesn’t love a combination like that? This flavor, which originally appeared in 2013 as part of Lay’s “Do Us A Flavor” contest, makes occasional limited-time appearances, and always has a dedicated fan following.
They are everything we love about snack food, from the cheesy and garlicky flavor to the crispy texture of the chip. It’s truly a beautiful mashup of cheesy garlic bread and potato chips. And as delicious as they will be to snack on, we can’t help but imagine them in cooking capacities as well. Perhaps crushed and used as a coating on fried chicken? The possibilities are endless!
This flavor might bring Lay’s into our list of the best potato chips.
Where Can I Get ‘Em?
Lay’s Cheesy Garlic Bread was so popular that it was a Flavor All-Star in 2017, but it’s not that easy to find. Last year, it had limited availability at Sam’s Club locations and appears to be back at Sam’s Club again in 2023.
No word as of yet if you can find it outside of the wholesale club, but if you don’t have a Sam’s Club membership, you can also shop there with third-party shopping apps such as Instacart if available in your area. As these are never around for very long, it’s a good idea to stock up while you can.
