I Just Discovered That McDonald’s Plans to Drop Something Brand-New This Year

Being on the hunt for fresh fast-food news is a thrill. Recently, I got wind of a change to the McDonald’s menu. Remember when CosMc’s appeared in 2023? This beverage-focused concept restaurant has wild drinks like the Sour Cherry Energy Burst and Popping Pear Slush, along with lattes, cold brew coffee and shaken espresso.
Now those drinks will finally appear on the menu at regular McDonald’s locations!
What’s new on the menu?
I’m no stranger to CosMc’s. In fact, I did a lengthy review of the chain’s menu this past January. While each drink has its merits, there are some that I hope to see more than others. I’m talking about you, French Toast Galaxy Latte, Pistachio Swirl Shaken Espresso and Sprite Moonsplash.
Between espresso drinks, energy boosters and shakes, CosMc’s is a fantasy of flavors fit for the adventurous! McDonald’s hasn’t confirmed which drinks will be coming to the menu, but I have some theories. The Chai Tea Latte and Turmeric Spiced Latte tend to collect high praise, and so does the Churro Cold Brew Frappe.
On the fruity side of the menu, the Sour Cherry Energy Burst and Island-Pick-Me-Up Punch both have the right amount of odd attraction to make people yearn for a sip. McDonald’s has yet to burst into the energy drink scene, so something fruity and caffeinated on the menu wouldn’t be a surprise.
If I had to choose a drink to add, it would be the Sprite Moonsplash. It already goes perfectly with the signature Sprite. I’d also get on my hands and knees for a Matcha Latte. McDonald’s, I’m begging you.
When will CosMc’s drinks officially begin to appear?
We know CosMc’s drinks will appear on menus in 2025, but we’re not sure exactly when. With so many iced drink options, though, we hope to see new drinks hit the menu sometime during the summer!
