It’s no secret that eggs are ridiculously expensive at the moment. With prices continuing to soar, everyone is handling the news differently. Restaurants like Waffle House and IHOP have added an egg surcharge to menus, hoping to offset the cost of this breakfast staple.

McDonald’s is taking a different approach.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Egg McMuffin, McDonald’s is offering the iconic fast-food breakfast sandwich for the low, low price of $1.

How do I get the $1 Egg McMuffin?

This kind of deal might seem too good to be true, but I guarantee you, it’s real! The catch is that it’s only available for one day: Sunday, March 2. To get the discounted sandwich, use the McDonald’s mobile app and register with its rewards program. The $1 Egg McMuffin deal will show up in the app under the “Rewards & Deals” section on March 2. Use the app when placing your order, and a budget-friendly breakfast is on its way to you!

How long will the $1 Egg McMuffin be available?

This is a special, one-day-only kind of deal, so make sure to set your alarm early and head over to McDonald’s on March 2! If you’re busy that day, or sleep in past the breakfast menu availability (like I usually do), then you can still take advantage of a different McDonald’s deal.

From March 3 through March 31, the Golden Arches will offer a BOGO (buy one, get one) deal on a Sausage McMuffin with Egg when making a McDelivery order in the McDonald’s App. Even if you’re not ready to head out the door for a McMuffin, you can have one delivered directly to you. And if all of this reading about McMuffins has you craving one, you can even make a copycat version at home.
