I absolutely cannot pass up a new Coca-Cola flavor. I originally heard about Coca-Cola Orange Cream in December, and I couldn’t wait to sip this nostalgic drink. I’m a fan of all things that mix orange and vanilla—creamsicles and Orange Julius drinks, you name it. And I’m definitely a soda savant—I’ve sipped my way through everything from the new Dr Pepper Blackberry to the Coke that was supposed to taste like space.

So of course, I had to get my hands on Coca-Cola Orange Cream, in both regular and zero-sugar versions.

You might be thinking: Have I had orange Coke before? You have! Coke used to offer a slightly different version, Coca-Cola Orange Vanilla. A representative for Coca-Cola told me Coca-Cola Orange Cream is meant to offer a “smoother, creamier taste profile” than the original orange-flavored Coke variety.

I don’t always say this, but Coke absolutely nailed its description. Coca-Cola Orange Cream is smooth, sweet and yes, creamy. The vanilla and orange flavors almost melt into the cola, and the resulting drink is a swirl of sweetness. It’s like if you blended the exact right amount of Fanta and cream soda into a Coke.

Now, that’s easy praise to give for a full-sugar soft drink. I’ve been wondering if it’s impossible for soft-drink companies to produce a zero-sugar drink that didn’t have an astringent, harsh chemical flavor and bitter aftertaste. But Coke seems to have cracked the zero-sugar code.

Coca-Cola Orange Cream Zero Sugar is almost as good as the full-sugar version. I could tell them apart, but only barely, as the zero-sugar version boasted the same smooth deliciousness as its big brother and very little aftertaste. If you want a refreshing orange-cream cola without the calories, you’re in luck.

You can pick yourself a bushel of this fabulous flavor right now. Coca-Cola Orange Cream and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Orange Cream hit store shelves on February 10. I asked whether the rep from Coca-Cola whether this was a seasonal flavor and I was told it should be around for all of 2025.
