Taco Bell has been surprising us left and right with its constant rotation of menu items recently. In the month of October alone, Taco Bell has brought back its most successful new product ever, Nacho Fries, and is testing the much-talked-about Chicken Al Pastor Street Chalupas in Minneapolis.

That’s not how Taco Bell started, though. The original menu had only five things: frijoles, tostadas, chili burgers, burritos and tacos. Simple, but enough to launch a successful chain. Now, the Taco Bell of today is serving up nostalgia with its latest innovation, the Decades Menu. Here’s every item that’s making a comeback.

What’s on the Decades Menu?

The original menus from fast-food icons hold quite a bit of charm. Taco Bell is giving us all the chance to experience discontinued menu items again but with more fanfare than the quiet return of the Double Decker Taco. Let’s dive into Taco Bell’s delicious decades.

’60s – Tostada

This classic debuted on Taco Bell’s original menu in 1962. Made with a crispy corn tostada shell and layered with refried beans, crispy lettuce, shredded cheese and a tangy red sauce, tostadas helped put Taco Bell on the map. Tostadas will be available for $2.19 each.

’70s – Green Sauce Burrito

The Green Sauce Burrito gained quite a bit of traction in the 1970s. With its mix of refried beans, onions, shredded cheddar cheese and tasty green sauce made with green chili, tomatillos, jalapenos and spices, the savory burrito quickly became a fan favorite. Now, it’s back on the Taco Bell menu for just $2.49.

’80s – Meximelt

I may not have been around in the ’80s, but I remember my family being a big fan of Meximelt. This ultra-cheesy menu item consists of a tortilla filled with pico de gallo, juicy seasoned beef and three different cheeses: mozzarella, Monterey Jack and cheddar. It can be yours for $2.99.

’90s – Beef Gordita Supreme

If you’ve never had the pleasure of experiencing a Gordita Supreme, I can’t recommend it enough. It was my go-to menu item for a while before it was retired. Now, we can all rejoice in its deliciousness together. Made with Taco Bell’s signature seasoned beef, sour cream, lettuce, cheddar, Monterey Jack and mozzarella shredded cheese with tomatoes on a fluffy flatbread, this item has everything you could possibly ask for. It’s just $2.99.

’00s – Caramel Apple Empanada

The Caramel Apple Empanada is a dessert staple. With its creamy caramel and juicy apple notes wrapped in a golden brown empanada, you won’t be able to eat just one. This menu item is available after the others—starting on November 21, 2024, you can grab one for $2.99.

How long will it be available?

The Decades Menu is set to drop October 31 at Taco Bell locations nationwide. It won’t be around forever, though, so don’t miss out on the menu event! Taco Bell will also drop retro-inspired merch on its app starting October 29, including opportunities to grab a merch collection through a new Decades Quiz. Customers can also upgrade their $7 Luxe Cravings Box with a Beef Gordita Supreme or score a Decades Cup while supplies last.
