Elise Jesse’s Pasta Salad

Summer was made for pasta salad, and this creamy, colorful dish is my go-to. My mom whipped it up in the '90s when every pasta salad was smothered with Italian dressing. That version wasn’t my mom’s speed, so she took a risk and switched it up with mayo. She nervously brought it to a pool party, and to her surprise, it was an instant hit. Soon, it became a highly requested dish. Now my own kids ask for it too. —Elise Jesse, Cincinnati, Ohio

Elise Jesse’s Slow-Cooker Ham and Gruyere Quiche

I have a running recipe list on my phone called The Holy Grail List. This ham and Gruyere cheese quiche is at the top. It takes 15 minutes to put together, and it’s the perfect set-it-and-forget comfort food that blends savory ham with a hint of nutty sweetness from the cheese. The easy cleanup makes this a no-brainer for me, especially when hosting brunch or breakfast. I hope you love it as much as we do! —Elise Jesse, Cincinnati, Ohio

Elise Jesse’s Cincinnati Chili

I know chili is widely debated, but one taste of Cincinnati chili has the power to end the debate. It is the best in the world, hands down. This chili is a staple in my home today and was woven into the fabric of my childhood, from family nights to post-football game meals to after-church lunches. —Elise Jesse, Cincinnati, Ohio
