Filled to the brim with flavorful ingredients, these easy healthy soup recipes will keep you full and satisfied.

After a long, busy workday, the thought of tucking into a cozy bowl of soup feels like a prize. That’s when I pull my best Dutch oven out of the cupboard and turn to easy healthy soup recipes. I love that these soups prioritize wholesome, nutrient-packed ingredients and don’t require hours of standing over the stove, especially during autumn and winter when darkness falls at 5 p.m.

“Healthy” means something different to everyone. We made sure the recipes in this collection contain mainly nutritious foods, such as veggies, lean meats, whole grains or legumes. Additionally, each serving of any of these soups is 250 calories or less, has 3 grams of saturated fat or less, and has a maximum of 625 grams of sodium. There are both light, cold soups and filling, warming soups for whatever mood you’re in.

Most of these are stockpot or Dutch oven soup recipes, but a few can be made right in the slow cooker or a pressure cooker. Plus, there are lots of vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free soups for anyone with dietary restrictions. Don’t forget to round out the meal by serving sides for soup, like crusty bread slices, simple side salads, paninis, sliders or roasted vegetables.
