Ingredients
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup golden raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped hazelnuts
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt. In a bowl, whisk buttermilk and molasses. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in raisins and nuts. Transfer to 2 greased 8x4-in. loaf pans.
- Bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
