Salty and sweet recipes are always a delight to the tastebuds, but there's something exceptional about the simplicity of prosciutto and melon.

Prosciutto and Melon

You’ve probably craved a sweet and salty treat. Maybe that’s in the form of pecan caramel candies or chocolate and peanut butter pretzel truffles, or maybe, it’s something more fruity like chocolate sea salt-dipped orange slices.
Candied snacks are all well and good, but if you’ve ever found yourself wanting something that’s less dessert and more appetizer, then prosciutto and melon are about to be your new fave duo. This sophisticated flavor combination hits all the right notes and couldn’t be simpler to put together.

Prosciutto and Melon Tips
What pairs well with prosciutto and melon?
Because prosciutto and melon are so light, it only makes sense to pair them with an equally light cheese. Place a ball of burrata cheese in the center of your melon slices and cut into the ball with a knife. Leave the knife on the serving plate to help smear your prosciutto and melon with the buttery cheese.
If burrata is too messy for you, try slices of mozzarella or any other substitute for burrata.
Can I add anything to the honey?
If the plain honey just isn’t cutting it, amp up the flavor by swapping in hot honey or sprinkling some balsamic glaze over the top of the slices.
How can I take prosciutto and melon to the next level?
When you’re serving this snack for a crowd, you might want to create a little more of an aesthetic serving display. Create your own burrata board, using stone fruits, honeydew and (of course) cantaloupe. Layer ribbons of honey-drizzled prosciutto between the fruits and garnish it all with fresh basil. This appetizer couldn’t be prettier!
