Whether you're entertaining holiday guests, hosting friends to watch the big game or just staying cozy for a family movie night, this taco ring is the perfect crowd-pleasing appetizer or easy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 package (1 ounce) taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Heat a large skillet to medium heat. Add ground beef and onion; cook until browned, 7-8 minutes. Drain; place back on heat. Add water and taco seasoning. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low; simmer uncovered until mixture thickens, 3-4 minutes. Stir in grated cheese and salsa; set aside.
  3. Unroll crescent roll on a greased 15x10x1-in. baking sheet. Separate into 16 triangles. Overlap wide ends of each triangle to form a ring. Spoon beef mixture over wide ends of dough. Fold points of the triangles over filling; tuck points under wide ends. Bake 18-22 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is heated through.

This golden-brown, cheesy taco ring is always the star of the party. Use convenient crescent rolls to prepare it and serve with familiar family-style taco toppings like lettuce, tomato and sour cream if you wish. —Blair Lonergan, Rochelle, Virginia
