Luckily, we're all about working <em>smarter<\/em>, not harder.\r\n\r\nWe're here to show you how to use a muffin tin to make vegetable plant spacing super easy!\r\n<h2>Seed Spacing with a Muffin Tin<\/h2>\r\nNo matter whether you're a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/collection\/vegetable-gardening-for-beginners\/\">gardening beginner<\/a> or a life-long expert, we all have to walk the same path to get to the end. That means getting on our hands and knees and getting a little dirty... not that that's ever a bad thing! But if you're interested in keeping your garden nice and tidy, we've got just the hack for you.\r\n\r\nTo create perfectly-spaced indents for your seeds or plants, grab a muffin tin and place it directly into your soil. You can line the rest of your plot or raised bed with the tin as your guide. You can even use mini-muffin tins to alter spacing for different kinds of seeds.\r\n<h2>What Seeds Will This Work For?<\/h2>\r\nIt's good to keep in mind that this method doesn't work for all seeds. Different types of produce require different spacing. If you're using a standard-size muffin tin, plant carrots, parsnips, beets, onions and other bulb vegetables, as they require roughly 3\" inches of space between each seed.\r\n\r\nThis hack also works best with freshly tilled and aerated soil. Soil that is hard, rocky or full of clay may not take to the indents as well.
