I have made this recipe before. I made it again today, 12\/23\/23 and I chilled the pan of candy before I cut it into squares. I'd turned the cracker candies upside down in order to cut them. I used 2 cups of chocolate chips-I combined bittersweet and semi-sweet chocolate chips and I DID boil the sugar mixture 3 minutes. It worked well for me-the secret is WATCHING the caramel mixture of brown sugar and butter to boil, then stirring it and reducing heat so there is no burning. I'd melted the chocolate chips in oven as recipe directed, then spread it over the sugar layer, sprinkled a MIXTURE of chopped pecans and<\/p>

Rice Krispies cereal to equal about 1-1\/2 to 1-3\/4 cups, pressed the cereal-nut mixture into the melted chocolate chip layer and chilled candies until firm. I must say that these candies are addicting! I'd used BOTH melted butter\/margarine to equal 1 cup (1 stick each).<\/p>","reviewRating":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Rating","ratingValue":5,"worstRating":1,"bestRating":5}},{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Review","datePublished":"2011-12-18","author":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org\/","@type":"Person","name":"Cathy_E"},"reviewBody":"My sister-in-law told me about this recipe first then I found it here.
