The first time I made this delightful crisp, my ice cream-loving brother skipped his usual scoop of vanilla—because he wanted to taste the cherries better! We grow wheat, soybeans and milo on our farm, plus three small cherry trees. I save every cherry for this recipe. —Carole Schlender, Burrton, Kansas
