Ingredients
- 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
- 1 package white cake mix (regular size)
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Vanilla ice cream, optional
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°. Spread pie filling into a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Sprinkle with cake mix; gently press into pie filling. Mix melted butter and extract; pour over cake mix.
- Bake until top is set and filling is bubbly, 45-50 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream if desired.
