Ingredients
- 1 slice hearty bread, toasted
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 ounces burrata cheese (about 1/4 cup)
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- Dash freshly ground pepper
Directions
- Spread toast with olive oil. Spread burrata over toast. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. If desired, drizzle with additional olive oil.
- Strawberry Basil Burrata Toast : Top burrata with 2 sliced fresh strawberries. Drizzle with 1 teaspoon balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil, salt and pepper.
- Roasted Cherry Tomato Burrata Toast: Toss 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes with 1/2 teaspoon olive oil. Place on a rimmed baking sheet. Roast at 400° until tomatoes begin to burst, about 10 minutes. Spread tomatoes over burrata; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Avocado Burrata Toast: Top burrata with 1/4 medium ripe sliced avocado. Drizzle with additional 1 teaspoon olive oil; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Hot Honey Lemon Burrata Toast: Drizzle burrata with 2 teaspoons hot honey. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest, salt and pepper.
- Apricot Almond Burrata Toast: Top burrata with 2 teaspoons apricot preserves. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons toasted sliced almonds, salt and pepper.
