A gingerbread martini is a holiday party in a glass that blends gingerbread spice into a creamy espresso martini for a cocktail that's as jolly as it is delicious!

Ingredients

  • GINGERBREAD SYRUP:
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • MARTINI:
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 ounces heavy whipping cream
  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1/2 ounce Irish cream liqueur

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine molasses, brown sugar, sugar and water. Bring to a boil; reduce to a simmer over medium-low heat. Cook until sugars are dissolved, 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir in ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and vanilla extract; cool completely. Reserve 1 tablespoon for cocktail; reserve remaining for future use.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour heavy whipping cream, coffee liqueur, vodka, Irish cream liqueur and 1 tablespoon gingerbread syrup. Secure lid on shaker; shake 30-45 seconds or until liquid is very cold. Strain gingerbread martini into a chilled martini glass. Serve immediately.
