This surprising, and surprisingly flavorful, Hawaiian salad uses just five ingredients to mix up a green salad with a sweet, tart and fruity flair.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup pineapple tidbits with juice
- 6 to 8 cups torn salad greens
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Directions
- Drain pineapple, reserving 1 tablespoon juice. In a large bowl, combine the greens, pineapple and cheese. In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, sugar and reserved pineapple juice. Pour over salad; toss to coat.
