1 loaf (16 pieces)
Ingredients
- 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
- 1-1/4 cups warm apple cider or juice (110°-115°)
- 2-1/2 cups bread flour
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1/4 cup fresh sage, thinly sliced
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/2 to 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons 2% milk

- Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Shape into a loaf. Place in a greased 9x5-in. loaf pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 40 minutes. Brush with milk.
- Bake at 375° until golden brown, 30-40 minutes. Remove from pan to a wire rack to cool.
