Come for the tender, well-marbled meat in this grilled T-bone steak recipe, but stay for the garlicky herb butter that melts over the juicy, hot steaks.
Ingredients
- HERB BUTTER:
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
- 1 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- STEAKS:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 beef T-bone steaks (3/4 pound each)
Directions
- In a bowl, combine herb butter ingredients; stir until combined. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
- In a shallow dish, combine oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Coat steaks with oil mixture. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, turning once.
- Grill, covered, over medium-high heat until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 4-6 minutes on each side. Remove steaks from grill; top each steak with 1 tablespoon herb butter. Let steaks stand for 5 minutes before serving.
