The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has shared a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpsc.gov\/Recalls\/2024\/BISSELL-Recalls-More-Than-3-Million-Steam-Shot-Handheld-Steam-Cleaners-Due-to-Burn-Hazard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-name=\"www.cpsc.gov\/Recalls\/2024\/Procter-Gamble-Recalls-8-2-Million-Defective-Bags-of-Tide-Gain-Ace-and-Ariel-Laundry-Detergent-Packets-Distributed-in-US-Due-to-Risk-of-Serious-Injury\" data-module=\"content engagement\" data-position=\"embedded links\">recall from Bissell<\/a> that affects its popular Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaners. This recall will come as a shock to Steam Shot fans who use the steam cleaner for everything from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/article\/how-to-clean-grout\/\">cleaning grout<\/a> to detailing car interiors.<\/p>\r\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Here's what you need to know about the Bissell steam shot recall.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>Why is Bissell recalling its steam cleaners?<\/h2>\r\n<div class=\"view-rows\">\r\n<div class=\"padding-y-1 \">\r\n\r\nThe steam cleaners are too dangerous to keep using. Bissell says the recalled steam cleaners can expel hot water or steam onto people during use, posing a burn hazard. The company has already received 183 reports of hot water or steam escaping from the Steam Shot, including 157 reports of minor burn injuries. You could've purchased the product any time from August 2008 through May 2024.<\/div>\r\n<h2>What should I do next?<\/h2>\r\nYou should immediately stop using a recalled steam cleaner. Then, contact Bissell to receive either a $60 credit for a bissell.com purchase or a $40 refund.
