The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/outbreaks-foodborne-illness\/outbreak-investigation-salmonella-cucumbers-november-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall<\/a> of cucumbers grown in Sonora, Mexico by Agrotato, S.A. de C.V. following a salmonella outbreak. So far, 68 people have reported illnesses, and at least 18 of them have been hospitalized.\r\n<h2>What cucumbers are part of the recall?<\/h2>\r\n<img class=\"alignnone wp-image-2085244 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tasteofhome.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/SunFed-perfect-cucumber-via-FDA.GOV_PDedit_1.jpg?fit=700,1024\" alt=\"Sunfed Perfect Cucumber\" width=\"700\" height=\"1024\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe recall includes all sizes of SunFed cucumbers grown by Agrotato in Mexico. The cucumbers were sold at stores including Walmart, Costco, Albertsons and Wegmans between October 12 and November 26, 2024.\r\n\r\nThe grower distributed its cucumbers to retailers in the following 26 states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.\r\n\r\nIn addition, select <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/walmart-inc-recalls-marketside-fresh-cut-cucumber-slices-34-texas-stores-because-possible-health\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walmart stores in Texas<\/a>\u00a0recalled packages of Marketside Fresh Cut Cucumber Slices because the product may contain cucumbers supplied by SunFed.\r\n\r\nThe cucumbers could have been distributed further, reaching other states not listed above. Your cucumbers might have a sticker that says \"SunFed Mexico\" or no sticker at all. If the cukes don't have a sticker, call your grocery store and ask if cucumbers sold there are part of the recall.
