What is the Ninja Creami Swirl?<\/h2>\r\n[dam-video dam-id=\"57383\" type_of_player=\"jw\" is_ol=\"no\" \/]\r\n\r\nVideos featuring the all-new ice cream machine have been making the rounds on TikTok and Instagram for weeks now. We finally got our hands on the new machine *squeal* and used it to whip up tasty cookies and cream soft-serve.\r\n\r\nThe Creami Swirl has two primary buttons for soft-serve and scoop-able ice cream, as well as buttons for light ice cream, \"creamifit\" (a new addition for processing protein mix), frozen yogurt, fruit whip, frozen custard, sorbet, gelato and milkshakes. \r\n\r\nLinda tested the new Creami Swirl by making a protein soft-serve. \"I used a Fairlife Corepower vanilla protein shake for the base and froze it overnight,\" she explains. \"The next day, I ran the base underwater for about 60 seconds to thaw it a bit, then I put it in the machine and hit the 'soft-serve' button to spin (this is the feature of the machine that the original Ninja Creami has). Ninja Creami Swirl vs. Ninja Creami<\/h2>\r\nThe Creami Swirl operates much like the original Creami, but you can insert the Creami container vertically into the machine and pull a dispensing lever to pour soft-serve.\r\n\r\nYou'll also notice the disappearance of the smoothie bowl button with the new Creami Swirl, but you'll also notice the addition of new buttons like frozen yogurt, frozen custard, fruit whip and creamifit. The new creamifit setting seems to be a direct response to the public interest in using the machine to make healthy, protein-packed ice cream. \r\n\r\nLinda tested the new Creami Swirl by making a protein soft-serve. \"I used a Fairlife Corepower vanilla protein shake for the base and froze it overnight,\" she explains. \"The next day, I ran the base underwater for about 60 seconds to thaw it a bit, then I put it in the machine and hit the 'soft-serve' button to spin (this is the feature of the machine that the original Ninja Creami has). After that, I took the pint out of the outer container, popped the soft-serve top on the pint, put it in the soft-serve section and dispensed it.\"\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\"I've also tested the mix-ins button to make cookies and cream [soft-serve], and it came out great! The mix-ins are a 1-minute add-on feature you press to mix in any toppings (I used crushed Oreos),\" Linda adds. \"I haven't tested it out for sorbet or milkshakes yet, but the [Taste Recipes] test kitchen tested the sorbet feature, and it looks like it makes really great sorbet consistency.\"\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIn our original Ninja Creami review<\/a>, Editor Annamarie Higley<\/a> used the ice cream maker to whip up Cookies and Cream and Pistachio ice cream from Ninja\u2019s recipe guide. \u201cI was in absolute awe. Ninja Creami Swirl vs. Ninja Creami<\/h2>\r\nThe Creami Swirl operates much like the original Creami, but you can insert the Creami container vertically into the machine and pull a dispensing lever to pour soft-serve.\r\n\r\nYou'll also notice the disappearance of the smoothie bowl button with the new Creami Swirl, but you'll also notice the addition of new buttons like frozen yogurt, frozen custard, fruit whip and creamifit. The new creamifit setting seems to be a direct response to the public interest in using the machine to make healthy, protein-packed ice cream.
