What caused the recall?<\/h2>\r\nAccording to an FDA report<\/a>, the Aldi cheese could be contaminated with stainless steel fragments.\r\n\r\nThe recall was originally initiated on February 15. On March 19, it was listed as a Class II recall, which means \"use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,\" per the FDA.\r\n

What stores sold the shredded cheese?<\/h2>\r\n\"Aldi\r\n\r\nThis is an Aldi product, so it is sold in Aldi stores. The recalled cheese was distributed in four states: Connecticut, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.\r\n
