In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/marthastewart\/reel\/DHoVzroRTdy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an Instagram post<\/a>, the lifestyle mogul revealed this sandwich, and it's more unpretentious than fans expected!\r\n<h2>What is Martha Stewart\u2019s favorite sandwich?<\/h2>\r\nIn her post, Martha reflects on the time she spent bonding with her dad. \"Late-night Scrabble tournaments were a big deal in our house,\u201d she explains, \u201cand we\u2019d snack on these butter sandwiches with onions to fuel us through the long hours.\"\r\n\r\nYou're not misreading the quote. I guess if you start to doze off in the middle of a long board game, the sharpness of raw onion will jolt you awake!\r\n<h2>What does Martha Stewart's favorite sandwich taste like?<\/h2>\r\nMartha made sure to include tips in case anyone wanted to recreate the sandwich, so I gave it a shot. She recommends choosing fresh bread, pungent onions and sweet butter to elevate the experience.\r\n\r\nI assembled my ingredients and took a bite. At first, I didn't get any of the onion flavor, just the crunch. The bread and butter were soft and creamy, so the crunch of the onion offered a nice bit of texture. After I was nearly done chewing, I got hit with a sharp blast of raw onion flavor. I took another bite, and it was the same experience: soft yet crunchy, then pungent.\r\n\r\nThe overall experience was...fine? I wasn't repulsed by it, but I didn't necessarily want to keep eating it. I offered a bite of the sandwich to my mom, who said it tasted kind of like egg salad.
