What caused the recall?<\/h2>\r\nFreshRealm establishments told the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) that there was a possibility for some of its products to be \"adulterated\" with listeria monocytogenes.\u00a0<\/em>\r\n\r\nAccording to the FSIS, this is the same strain of listeria that caused an outbreak resulting in 17 illnesses in 13 states. So far, there have been three deaths and one fetal loss associated with the outbreak. It is still an ongoing investigation, and the FSIS has identified specific FreshRealm chicken fettuccine Alfredo products as being a common item that some of the sick people have eaten.\r\n

What stores sold the chicken fettuccine Alfredo?<\/h2>\r\nThese products were sold nationwide at Kroger and Walmart stores. There is still a lot that we don't know about the outbreak. But we do know that at least three specific chicken fettuccine Alfredo ready-to-eat meals have been identified as possible sources of listeria contamination.\r\n

How do I know if I have a recalled chicken fettuccine Alfredo?<\/h2>\r\nIf you bought ready-to-eat chicken fettuccine Alfredo from Kroger or Walmart, check the labels. They should all have a USDA mark of inspection stamp with establishment numbers \u201cEST. P-50784,\u201d \u201cEST. P-47770,\u201d or \u201cEST. P-47718\u201d printed on the side of the packaging.
