The reviews that said to separate the eggs are correct. As you can see in the picture, the large air bubbles in the cake reveal that this cake is a little tougher in texture. Mine was a little eggy, too. That being said, it was easy to do (which was the appeal of this recipe for me, as I can\u2019t find my go-to recipe) and looked fine. I write this after slicing off the end piece immediately after rolling. It was a little dry.
