This recipe looked intriguing but the ingredients added up to a lot of sugar. I lightened up the recipe by using unsweetened chocolate almond milk, 1\/4 cup sugar and 1\/4 tsp. Stevia. For the topping, I used 1\/2 cup strawberry soda and 1\/2 cup strawberrry flavored carbonated water. I used 1\/2 cup non-packed brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. white sugar and a smidgen of Stevia. I also used low sugar jam and omitted the molasses. In both the cake and topping I used a bit less chocolate chips and used 1\/2 semi-sweet and half milk chocolate since none of the family like dark chocolate. All other ingredients remained the same including whipped cream and Strawberries. The vote was unanimous... It's a keeper!
