Tried this in an Insta Pot in steam basket and turned out fantastic! Used the 2 Tbl bacon drippings added to the water for flavor when pressure cooking. 10 mins high. Let out pressure add meat and pressure 5 more mins. use keep warm to hold as needed. One of the great things about recipes is that you can tweak to taste. I added chicken broth and ramped up the spices a bit with paprika and a bay leaf, let the veggies simmer a bit longer, and even added some leftover shrooms. Amazing! It's a keeper! I loved the idea of this recipe but thought perhaps brussel sprouts world be a better fit with the kielbasa I had (not that I don't like broccoli, I do). I also try to watch or at least try to control the fat intake. Keeping this in mind, I didn't use bacon..........instead, I sauteed the onions, celery, added garlic, and the kielbasa in olive oul until the kielbasa started to brown and the onions started to turn translucent. Add the brussel sprouts, potatoes and a 1\/2 cup to 3\/4 cup chicken broth.........cover and throw it in the oven. I baked it for a little over an hour. Take it out, stir it, and cover.......let stand for 10 to 15 min. Because I was concerned that some vegetables might be overdone and some underdone, I cooked them all separately according to our taste. I fried the potatoes and onions (and added some garlic) and at the same time I boiled the broccoli according to package directions. I steamed the carrots and celery, and then just combined everything, putting the sausage pieces on top as directed. It didn't taste bad, just not good. The broccoli seemed out of place and it was too dry.
