If you love well-seasoned steak-cut fries but aren’t into actually frying anything, these Parmesan potato wedges are for you. Whisk together grated Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, garlic powder, oregano and paprika.\u00a0 Generously shower thick-cut potatoes with seasoning mix and bake for 30 minutes in a hot oven. These baked garlic parmesan potato wedges come out golden with crispy edges and a tender, fluffy interior.<\/p>\n
These are delicious served with grilled hamburgers<\/a> (of course) but don’t stop there. They also make a fun side for a hearty soup such as beef barley<\/a> or cozy vegetarian lentil<\/a> soup.<\/p>\n Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Mix the first five ingredients in a small bowl.<\/p>\n Cut each potato into eight thick wedges. Put them on a parchment-lined 15x10x1 inch pan. Spray the potatoes with oil and generously sprinkle them with the seasoning mixture. Bake until tender and golden brown, about 30 minutes.<\/p>\n Store leftover potato wedges in a covered container in the refrigerator for two to three days.<\/p>\n Reheat in a 350\u00b0 oven until warm, or use an air fryer to revive the crispy edges. They will be a little softer after storing.<\/p>\n You can increase the garlic powder by 1\/4 teaspoon and add 3\/4 teaspoon of salt to the seasoning blend in place of garlic salt.<\/p>\n A few techniques work to get crispier baked potato wedges. If you have time, soak them in hot water for 10 minutes, pat dry with a clean towel and proceed with oiling and seasoning. This removes some of the starch and makes a big difference in crispness. Make sure the wedges aren’t over-crowded or they will steam instead of brown. Lastly, you can turn on the broiler for the last one to two minutes of cooking to give those edges an extra boost. If you try this, watch carefully so you don’t burn them.<\/p>\n Start with large potatoes and cut in half lengthwise. Cut these halves in half again lengthwise to make quarters. Take each quarter, and cut in half lengthwise again, but on a diagonal.
