I love the Girl Scout Samoa cookies, so I gave these a try. To Make this recipe without an awful mess, start with a BIG bowl! I mixed the sweetened condensed milk and the dulce de leche together, in the bowl, BEFORE adding the dry ingredients. ( I can't imagine how hard it would have been to evenly mix it, otherwise! ) I toasted my coconut, stirring every few minutes, until every piece was a light golden brown (this, I believe is a must!) I added an 11 ounce bag of Kraft caramel bits, because I felt they needed a little more \"chew factor\". Instead of rolling this into balls, I used a small cookie scoop and placed the mounds on a parchment lined cookie sheet, then froze. I dipped the bottom in chocolate, placing them on wax paper to set. With the rest of the chocolate, rewarmed just a bit, I drizzled it over the top.
