I've made this several times. The base recipe is perfect texture-wise but it's very bland. I add about two teaspoons each of garlic powder, (minced garlic would also work well) onion powder, and black pepper to the filling. Sometimes I add cheddar cheese as well (1\/2 cup). I also add a dash extra salt to the dough, and blend another teaspoon each of garlic, onion, and black pepper there. Far more flavorful that way. <\/p>
