Champagne’s flavor can be easily overpowered in baking, which is why you don’t want to add a cup of bubbly straight from the bottle for this recipe. Instead, you’ll reduce it for a more concentrated flavor, resulting in a hint of champagne in a not-too-sweet cake. With three tiers and gleaming white buttercream frosting, this cake looks as elegant and festive as a flute of champagne. It’s a favorite champagne recipe<\/a> for festive holidays, birthdays and celebrations.<\/p>\n Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. In a small saucepan, simmer the champagne until it has reduced by half, about 10 minutes.
