This is the best brownie recipe I've found. Everytime I try a new recipe they don't compare and I come back to this one. They have a perfect chewy outside and fudgey middle. I do replace the boiling water with hot coffee and sometimes will replace about a 1\/4 of the cocoa powder with black cocoa powder. I personally leave out the chocolate chunks and nuts as I like this recipe without them. Chocolate lovers rejoice! Very, very rich brownies. Fudgy style brownies, recipe provides a large number of brownies, perfect for a potluck. Baking time is accurate and I enjoyed the amount of nuts. Next time I make these, I will probably reduce the addition of semisweet chips, because they made the brownies extremely sweet.
