I had many issues with the frosting which may be attributable to either A) my use of natural PB whose oils seeped out of the frosting at room temp or B) that I make my own confectioner's sugar and it wasn't fine enough. I doubt another, oilier butter such as flax would substitute because of this. It took a good fight and repeated trips between the freezer and the counter to get it to stick to the cake.
