This is by far the best cornbread i've made! I halved the recipe since it was only me . I did not have enough flour on hand but I DID have cornmeal muffin mix I got in the bulk section of my grocery store. So, I took a chance on using that in place of the dry ingredients. Everything else was the same. The flavor,moistness and crumb texture was wonderful! I will definitely be making my cornbread like this from now on! <\/p>
I ate it warm with butter and accompanied it with my chili. I look forward to having it in the morning, slightly warmed, in a bowl with milk over it! It was sweet enough that I won't have to sprinkle it with sugar!<\/p>

Made this exactly like recipe and it is wonderful and I don't even like sweet potatoes but my husband and brother do. It does make a lot of cornbread, so it would be great for a get together with friends. It's even better the next day reheated with butter and strawberry jam.
