That being said I tried some shortcuts- I'll share so you can avoid them. 1st I was using the pressure cooker... so I added the flour and sugar after... thought it was get burned or something. The meat was ok, but I presume my adjustments effected the sauce. My sauce was pretty thick compared to the picture. My bigger mistake was that I used regular soy sauce instead of reduced sodium- and then I still added the salt. If you only have regular soy sauce dilute about 25-50% with water and\/or skip the salt. 2nd I didn't have browning sauce so I rubbed a little vegetable bouillon concentrate plus I used bouillon concentrate for the beef broth... again too salty. When it was all finished after tasting it I rinsed 3\/4 of the sauce off of it..mine was so salty it was worth the risk. That helped. If there were a next time I would use less soy, use tapioca pearls instead of flour and just a little more ginger. The end result is similar to beef broccoli.
