Excellent and definitely a keeper. I made a couple changes because we do not like nutmeg. Whenever a recipe calls for nutmeg, I substitute with cardamom. It\u2019s on the same end of the taste scale but doesn\u2019t have that nasty aftertaste nutmeg does. I also baked into 8 x 4 pans. Just FYI 2 1\/2 cups of dates is 12 ounces of Medjool dates weighed before they are pitted. I did not make the spread as my husband does not care for cream cheese frosting or spreads.
