I didn't change or add a thing and they turned out perfect! I took a batch to my art class and everyone went wild for them. The cookies are good. The recipe could have been a bit more clear. I dont have fancy equipment (SIGH!!!) to make the cookie dough so it took a while. And I thought it probably would have been easier if I would have melted the chocolate for the cookie dough a bit. The directions should have split the different things that needed to be separated. The cookies turned out good but I think might have been a little longer in my oven. they are pretty too. I made Quilted Mug rugs and will give a coffee \/tea cup along with a couple of cookies for the side snack. it said to dry the cherries. That made it to dry so I added cherry juice that made it better. <\/p>

These are very festive for Valentines day. I Chopped cherries and cut butter into pieces then put rest of ingredients into food processor. I add 3 tablespoons of cherry juice and continue till all blended. I then moved to to my kitchen aid and kneaded dough with the dough hook until ball formed. Do not add cherry juice, just keep kneading until it all comes together, which it will as the butter softens.
