This breakfast pizza is loaded with savory, filling breakfast ingredients and freshly baked. Enjoy it as a family fun meal, for your kids’ next sleepover or as a new pick for\u00a0breakfast-for-dinner<\/a>.<\/p>\n Traditional pizza is transformed into the stuff breakfast is made of with the addition of go-to breakfast favorites. In this recipe, a premade pizza crust<\/a> is topped with scrambled eggs and bacon bits, then covered with cheese. Breakfast pizza is a unique morning treat that’s ready in just 30 minutes.<\/p>\n Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Unroll the pizza crust, and press it into a 10×15-inch baking pan so that it covers the bottom with a 1\/2-inch high edge on all sides. Prick the crust all over with a fork, and brush it with 1 tablespoon oil. Bake for seven to eight minutes, until it’s puffed and lightly browned.<\/p>\n Whisk the eggs with a little water until they’re blended and frothy. Cook the eggs in a skillet in 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat, stirring often, until they’re thick with soft curds.<\/p>\n Editor’s Tip:<\/em> If you want to add any seasonings to the eggs\u2014salt, pepper or herbs\u2014now’s the time!<\/p>\n Spoon the scrambled eggs over the baked pizza crust to make an even layer. Sprinkle bacon bits and cheeses over the top.<\/p>\n Slide the pizza into the oven, and bake for five to seven minutes, until the cheese is melted and gooey. Slice the pie, and it’s ready to serve.<\/p>\n Cover cooled pizza slices with plastic wrap, and store them in the fridge for up to five days.<\/p>\n This pizza can be baked in advance for an easy dinner or snack later in the week. Allow the pie to cool, then wrap it well in plastic wrap and hold it in the fridge for up to five days. To reheat it, place the pizza on a baking sheet. Place it in a 350\u00b0 oven for five to ten minutes, until it’s heated through completely.<\/p>\n Bake the breakfast pizza as directed, then let it cool completely. Slide the pie into a freezer-proof resealable bag, and store in the freezer for up to three months. To reheat, place the frozen pizza on a baking at 350\u00b0 until it’s completely warmed through.<\/p>\n Our recipe uses precooked bacon bits, but if you decide to use any fresh type of bacon<\/a>, yes, definitely cook it first. The pizza has a very short baking time, and raw bacon won’t cook through in time. Also, uncooked bacon will make the pizza unappealingly greasy.<\/p>\n The best cheese for pizza is one that has great meltability and elasticity. Mozzarella is an obvious choice, but other options include provolone, cheddar, Colby, Edam and Gruyere. Blending cheeses is a great way to get flavor and a melty texture.<\/p>\n Breakfast pizza is a complete meal all on its own, perfect for either busy or relaxed mornings.
