I have made this wonderful TOH recipe for over a dozen years. It was frequently requested when all my children (boys) were still living at home, and this dish never had any leftovers. I always doubled the recipe and it easily fed 6. Wonderful over mashed potatoes! I am a widow now but still make it for myself and simply freeze half the recipe. I cut up boneless chuck roast and check for doneness by sticking a fork in the meat periodically after the minimum cooking time so it doesn't get tough.
