At 400 degrees the tops of the biscuits started to burn, but the middle and the bottoms were still raw, so if you don't mind wasting your money and not being able to eat the biscuits then I guess this recipe is for you. This is the 1st time in many years that I went to taste of home for a recipe because the last time I did, it was a waste of money also. Taste of home should actually test the recipes before they publish them. Very disappointed as usual.

I agree with some of the other people. It tastes more like BBQ then a cheeseburger. My biscuits didn't all fit, but maybe I just had bigger biscuits. I make something very similar to this recipe. We brown the ground beef, add a can of Bush's original baked beans (15 oz), 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, and 1 cup of BBQ sauce (I use Kraft original), heat and stir until it's bubbly. Place mixture in casserole dish. One difference to my recipe is before you put the biscuits on top you cut them in half so you have two half moon shapes and place them cut side down on top of the mixture then follow the oven settings for the biscuits. There is never a problem with the biscuits not being done.

i made this the other night. It was tasty but had more of a sloppy joe taste than cheeseburgers. My husband has been making somthing similar since he was a kid. Brown a lb. of hamburger, drain, add whatever veggies (like onions, peppers), that you like (or have left over) and pour a can of pork & beans over the top. We cook everything to boilding in a cast iron skillet and then layer the biscuits over the top of the hot mixture and pop it in the oven until the biscuits brown. Every time we take this somewhere it disappears fast and we get lots of requests for the recipe.
