Great recipe for non-wine drinkers to use up some wine. Flexible. I didn't have aniseed, so I used a mix of Chinese five spice powder, ground star anise, and clove. It could be fun to experiment with other flavors.<\/p>

My \"soft dough\" was more like a thick batter even with the max flour, which made handling difficult. Made the rope rounds, some thumbprint style, some slightly flattened balls, and some drop-from-the-spoon (no sugar coating).
