Delicious! This will join our regular rotation. Of course I had to modify a bit due to ingredients I had at the time. I used asiago/swiss slices and used panko crumbs instead of ritz. Also decided to experiment by adding some soy miso paste to the soup mixture. It was delicious. Had lots of extra sauce to cover the penne noodles I made for a side dish. Served with garlic green beans and sprinkled fresh Parmasean on everything before serving. I suspect leftovers tomorrow will be just as delicious as the meal was tonight.

@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Rating
{"@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Review
2020-01-27
@context":"http://schema.org/","@type":"Person
BlueTrumpet
Winner winner, chicken dinner!!! I used a homemade "Cream of Something Soup Mix" to make this recipe and it was delicious! Before cooking the the chicken I pounded it with a tenderizer and it practically melted after cooking. I liked the swiss cheese, but I think next time I'd like to try maybe a smoked provolone or a sharp cheddar. I topped the mixture with panko crumbs and no butter before baking and it was delicious!

Made this as stated, however used shredded swiss instead of slices. My family enjoyed this very much served over rice. Next time I think I will try sprinkling cayenne over the chicken to give it more flavor and kick. :)

Good quick recipe! I was able to throw it together after I got home from work. Chicken was very moist. It was hard to believe that this was fairly healthy! It took me closer to 40-45 minutes in baking time, but I might have had thicker chicken breasts. We're not big onion fans, so I'll probably cut down ont he minced onion next time.

Use homemade chicken broth thickened with cornstarch or flour.

WE MADE THIS AND USED THE CHICKEN PULLED-STYLE. MORE OF THE SAUCE GOT INTO THE MEAT THIS WAY. WE ALSO USED FAT-FREE SOUR CREAM. THIS, I AM SURE, ONLY LOWERED THE FATS A BIT;ALL HELPS THOUGH. IT IS TOO BAD THAT WE CAN NOT DEVISE A WAY TO LOWER THAT HIGH SODIUM LEVEL! IT SHOULD BE AT LEAST 300 mg LOWER FOR A GOOD READING.
