This was easy and SOOOO good! I live quite a distance from a store and sweets (when I get the urge) and this fills the bill exactly!! Everything I always have in the pantry. I cut them in half, returned them to the oil with the cut side down and fried them for another minute. The middle got done, but the outside was \u201ccrispy\u201d. I tried to make them smaller but they still got very dark before being done.
