I remember this idea from my Betty Crocker cookbook, Children's Editon, maybe 50 years ago. They are cute but a little \"tippy\" for display if you put too much frosting\/topping on top but very customizable. My book has them decorated as clown's heads for a circus themed party but I can see a lot of variations for different occasions. Very convenient for the kids, they can just walk around and eat the whole thing with no plate, utensils or cupcake papers.
