The TOH Test Kitchen suggestion to cook the beef separately from the onions and mushrooms is a good one. I did the onions first, then added the mushrooms and only cooked them 3-4 minutes to maintain their firmness. Tasty dish that is also good over whole wheat noodles. Garlic (powder or minced) is also a delicious addition!<\/p>
