First, for those complaining about the author not using Baileys Irish Cr\u00e8me, you\u2019re not reading the recipe correctly. You do use Irish Cr\u00e8me, non dairy, alcohol. There\u2019s even a photo for those who think it\u2019s found in the \u201ccreamer aisle\u201d. So, I made a large sheet cake, used the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes about one inch apart, then poured the Baileys in the holes. After it cooled, I flipped it, and it was perfect! Don\u2019t dump the Irish cr\u00e8me all over the cake, just fill the holes. That way the bottom is nice and soft with the Baileys and the cake isn\u2019t soggy. For whipped cream, I used cool whip, mixed with fluff (it makes it stiffer so the peaks last longer), added some chocolate pudding and just enough cocoa to darken in slightly, then whipped it together. It was amazing. I added a little bit of Baileys to the chocolate pudding along with tiny pieces of chocolate mint candies. I\u2019m not a mint fan, but combined\u2026.it was delicious. If your trifle isn\u2019t coming out right, it\u2019s because the recipe probably wasn\u2019t written in a way that non-bakers might understand. It probably should have been more specific in some areas.
