We enjoyed these very much although I would add more apple next time. Make sure to press the topping in a little to keep it in place. I reduced the amount of cinnamon called for to 1 1\/2 teaspoons and added 1\/2 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg. I used Kraft Caramel Bits, easier than chopping up the full size candies. A few tips: Use tulip muffin cups to prevent the topping from running off. Cut the sugar to 1\/2 cup if you like things less sweet. As others suggested increasing the apples to 1 cup and using 1 cup of Kraft caramel bits instead of cutting up 12 candies gives more apple flavor and saves time. Next time I will try adding a 1\/4 cup of chopped pecans.
