A couple suggestions: If using caramels, put a few in the microwave with a tablespoon of water and heat in 30 second increments, stirring between, until the desired consistency. <\/p>

Also, I was not home when this was baking, and my husband took it out of the oven at 65 minutes. I wish we had cooked it longer because the apples were not cooked through.
